SUSTAINABILITY

Our business practices are informed and inspired by purpose hence sustainability is woven into the fabric of everything we do as a business, not as a separate goal or intention. We share a sense of purpose to develop new sustainable local and global nutrition systems that motivate the actions of our workforce of about 500 full-time employees. Our dedicated staff members are embedded in our organization to help and support our business goals – to embrace sustainable practices, outcomes and reporting.

IMPLEMENTATION

There are various priority areas where our operations are able to make a meaningful impact, in which we specify challenges we are working on to meet, and the outcomes to which we aspire to unlock mutual value with all our partners through collaboration, ensure a safe, healthy and productive workplace for our people and to understand and prevent environmental hazards in communities where we operate.

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL

We ensure our ingredients and products are delivered to customers without contamination or adulteration – this is the bedrock of our quality and compliance.

We operate highly integrated supply chains working with large-scale growers to provide quality seed and other inputs, coupled with the highest standards of quality and microbiological control at our processing factory thereby reducing food safety risks.

SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAINS

DRIVING FEASIBLE AND POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE SUPPLY CHAINS
We operate in a number of supply chains and environmental challenges exist. We implement international best practices and focus on innovation and leverage technology, to help us get beyond incremental improvements, and achieve our purpose of developing new sustainable local and global nutrition systems.

SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL
We are committed to contributing our quota to meeting Nigeria’s palm oil requirements in line with the Government’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda through sustainable production processes and sourcing, to narrow down the current domestic palm oil production shortfall and importation deficit, and to protect forests and areas of high conversation value, both in our plantations and through our third-party supply chain.
